Herbarium is a permanent woven installation in the entrance lobby of Etu-Töölö Upper Secondary School, a building designed by Hjalmar Åberg and completed in 1930. Taking botanical imagery as its starting point, the work builds a dense visual field of plant forms that hover between scientific illustration and something more hallucinatory — familiar shapes that accumulate and begin to behave differently than expected.
